Conveniently located just a minute's drive from Cruz Bay to a private cul-de-sac on Pocket Money Hill, Mandavilla overlooks St. John's village of Cruz Bay and a mosaic of green islands in the blue distance.

A staircase bordered by gardens leads from the parking area down to Mandavilla's entry on the property's middle level. Inside, This stylish and spacious room offers two elegantly furnished sitting areas divided by an interior dining area. The fully-equipped, open-plan kitchen is conveniently just off the dining area. And if you have to keep up with your work on vacation, there's a desk with a view for you, and a printer.

At the end of the main room is the air-conditioned king bedroom/bath suite. Mandavilla offers a bonus second full bath, an appealing his-and-hers bath setup. The master bath features a tiled and glass-block shower, and the second full bath has a bathtub and shower.

The main living area opens via glass sliding doors onto the verandah, set with an alfresco dining table, chairs and a gas grill. The verandah is covered for shade and offers wide-angle harbor and ocean views and cooling tradewind breezes. An exterior staircase leads down to your own private pool on a sun deck, complete with chaise lounges, table and chairs, and a shaded pool cabana with a wicker bar and bar stools. Mandavilla's freeform pool enjoys sunshine all day long, and are surrounded by lush gardens terraced within custom bluebit stone walls.

Casual elegance with many custom details, original artwork, and dramatic sunsets from the balconies make Mandavilla an exceptional accommodation for two...very highly recommended for you and your sweetie! Or, bring your child or a good friend along - Mandavilla is big enough for the three of you, and has that extra full bath and a raised queen air bed.

Rental Notes

On-site management is, from time to time, in the apartment above with a separate entrance; he's there if you need him for seasoned advice on island activities and anything else you might want to know, but your vacation privacy is, of course, completely assured within Mandavilla and on the pool level.

Flanking Mandavilla on either side are two villas, Ginger Thomas and Ylang-Ylang. You may rent just Mandavilla for two persons, or you may also rent Ginger Thomas and/or Ylang-Ylang together to sleep up to 10 persons in three separate villas. Although these villas are next door to each other (homes are approx. 30 feet apart), privacy between the three properties is well maintained by good design and landscaping. These three villas are conveniently located near Cruz Bay - just a short downhill walk, or about a 1-1/2-minutes' drive to town for shopping, dining, island-style nightlife, and all the holiday fun that popular St. John has to offer.
