Description of Ventana

This unique luxury mansion in a prestigious neighborhood sits on over 2 acres on a scenic hilltop, overlooking spectacular views of Charlotte Amalie's harbor and of tropical sunsets.

An avenue of palms leads from the entrance through lush tropical gardens to the brick courtyard, carport, and into the spacious and very elegant Great Room. This large living area, furnished with plush, comfortable seating and accented with warm mahogany pieces, is the heart of Ventana. Just off the Great Room is the covered dining gallery and verandah set with a sofa, chairs and a hammock. The adjoining kitchen features custom cabinetry, a Viking gas range and Sub Zero fridge, and also has a private area for wait staff, which doubles as an office area with computer, fax and printer. A few steps from the Great Room take you to Ventana's upper level and to two bedroom/bath suites, both with air-conditioning, cable TV and marble baths. A few steps down from the Great Room is the large king air-conditioned master suite complete with cable TV, a sofabed, a generous marble bath with mirrored french doors, and its own private covered patio just outside. A few more steps from the master bath access the adjoining exercise room.

Walkways threaded through the gardens and lawn lead to the compact, air-conditioned two-twin bedroom and bath, situated in a charming small poolside cabana separate from the main house - and to the brick patios and dramatic horizon pool, from which you can watch the cruise ships come and go by day, and enjoy the magic of twinkling lights of our harbor and town at night. Ventana celebrates Caribbean style with its captivating views, superb gardens, restful colors and original artwork; villa aficionados will appreciate the drama of this vacation estate's perfect privacy in a gracious, old world setting - five stars!

Rental Notes

*Please add $300 per child, per week, for 9th + 10th persons (must be children under 12 years ONLY, please) on sofabed in master bedroom.

7-NIGHT MINIMUM RENTAL REQUIRED for VENTANA ALL YEAR AROUND (EXCEPT during Xmas/New Year's, when a 10-night minimum rental is required.)

VENTANA IS ALSO AVAILABLE FOR WEDDINGS, PARTIES or LARGE GATHERINGS! (maximum 45 guests for reception): ADD a $1000 surcharge to the seasonal rental rate for 7-8 persons (see Rates), high or low season. A $1500 fully-refundable damage deposit is also required. *ALL tables, flatware, china, dishes and glassware for the wedding MUST be rented or provided by your caterer. McLaughlin Anderson Luxury Villas requires that you give us, well in advance, complete details of all wedding or function plans, including all names of wedding personnel and/or catering persons who will be at this villa for your function...this information must be provided to us as part of your rental Terms & Conditions. Guests will be held completely responsible for any damages, missing items, and will be charged if their caterer/chef does not complete a full clean-up of the villa property inside and outside, including removing all trash from the villa property. Please ask to see complete details and our agreement for these functions.
