Nancy's Description of Seashell Fringed by a fabulous white sand beach and surrounded by shady trees and natural landscaping for privacy, Seashell's Zen attitude and the calming sounds of gentle surf will welcome and sooth you. Two air-conditioned stone pavilions edged with wooden decks, set with chaise lounges, table and chairs, offer two king bedroom/bath suites well separated for maximum privacy. Seashell's main pavilion features a Great Room with sitting room, dining and kitchen areas and one of the king bedroom/bath suites within. Furnishings are of seagrass, carved wood, bamboo and teak, all harmoniously combined with natural stone walls, coralstone floors and locally-crafted mahogany woodwork. Banks of windows on three sides of the main pavilion frame green flora and blue skies outside, and usher cooling sea breezes in. The gourmet kitchen is modern and efficient: all stainless steel appliances including a Bosch gas cooktop. The spacious king suite features a wonderful master bath with glass tile and an Italian vanity with a glass sink. Just across the deck fringed with seagrape trees is the second master king suite in its own private pavilion. This suite offers satellite TV and a DVD player, and french doors which open right onto the sand beach and live reefs beyond for snorkeling adventures; just around the point is the serene beauty of Well Bay beach. Seashell's superb location, within a gated compound and just 30 feet from the ocean's edge, and its artful blending of nature and beauty with modern conveniences make this lovely and tranquil seaside vacation home so very desirable. Amenities 2 satellite TVs + 2 DVD and VCR players, movie collection, A/C in both pavilions, DSL line with Wi-Fi for your laptop, answering machine, gourmet kitchen with Bosch + KitchenAid appliances, hair dryers, 2 safes for valuables, hammock, gas grill; beach chairs, cooler, assorted snorkel gear for guests; electronic gate into property, dishwasher. Seashell's housekeeper can do your personal laundry for you, if you wish for $10 per load (wash, dry and fold) - just ask!
Rental Notes PLEASE NOTE: Surfsong Villa Resort is just next door, and their beach pavilion is nearest Seashell - about 25 feet away from the Great Room's dining area. Be aware that at times there will be music and conversation audible from Surfsong, but when we visited, we found the noise level (reggae music playing) entirely reasonable. The bedroom suite's air-conditioning should block out most evening noise, should you wish to retire rather early. A Hindu story tells of a fish who asked of another fish, "I have always heard about the sea, but what is it? Where is it?" And the other fish replied, "You live, move and have your being in the sea. The sea is within you and without you, and you are made of sea, and you will end in sea. The sea surrounds you as your own being. The only true answer is the one which you find for yourself." |
