Nancy's Description of Rivendell Walk to renowned Peter Bay Beach in a few minutes via a shady, jungle path from this luxurious four-bedroom villa. Rivendell is an exceptional and luxurious private home secluded within lush tropical gardens, offering two pavilions with a scenic swimming pool between them. Rivendell's two-storied main pavilion houses the spacious Great Room, home office area and a powder room on its main floor; french doors open from the Great Room to the private terrace and pool just outside. The office area is completely equipped with a desktop computer, satellite television with a digital video recorder, a DSL line and Wi-Fi for laptops, a fax machine and a laser printer, copier and scanner. Above, via an exotic-wood staircase, is the air-conditioned master suite with a romantic four-poster bed and french doors opening to a step-out balcony, and next to it, an air-conditioned bedroom with two twin beds. Both rooms have large windows on two sides overlooking the pool, tropical gardens and palms, and the ocean beyond. Just outside, adjoining Rivendell's main pavilion and pool courtyard, is the heart of this villa: the gourmet kitchen and alfresco covered dining and lounging area. A dining table, easy chairs and ceiling fans make this area everyone's favorite spot for gathering and relaxing. The second two-story guest pavilion on the other side of the pool houses two equal-sized, air-conditioned queen bedroom/bath suites. Rivendell is beautifully distinguished by its breathtaking sea views, lovely mature gardens with tiled walkways and patios with brick accents, sink-into sofas and mahogany and teak furnishings enhanced by custom tropical woods and native stonework throughout, fully-screened windows, handpainted sinks and original art. Although just a few minutes from the white sands of Peter Bay Beach, Rivendell is completely private and sequested within a privileged world of its own...five stars. Rental Notes A 7-NIGHT MINIMUM RENTAL IS REQUIRED AT RIVENDELL ALL YEAR AROUND (except for Xmas/New Year's, when a 10-night minimum rental is required). ALL adult guests at Rivendell are required to sign a general liability waiver at the time of booking - please ask to see a copy of this when making your reservation. As is true in any popular destination, new construction continues in areas of Peter Bay and Upper Peter Bay. As of spring, 2007, there are construction sites two lots over from Rivendell, and also above and across the road from Rivendell. As we are not sure how long this activity will continue, or how disruptive it might be on any given day, we will be happy to get current details of such activity for you and give you as much information as we are able to gather or observe about any noise or disturbance near the villa you rent - please inquire. |
