Nancy's Description of Boulder Crest We really love this beautifully-designed villa. Boulder Crest is situated on a lush, private hillside in Nail Bay, surrounded by and completely secluded within tropical trees, palms and bright flora, and tucked into the large, dramatic boulders for which Virgin Gorda is famous. A native stone staircase winds up to Boulder Crest's air-conditioned Great Room pavilion from the ample parking area. The spacious Great Room's living area shares space with an expansive open kitchen and dining area, and comfortable rattan furnishings are well grouped for conversation and relaxation. Glass slider doors on all four sides of the Great Room pavilion showcase breathtaking panoramas of Caribbean greenery and of blue ocean beyond, and one side opens to the pool and large wraparound sun deck just outside. On the opposite side, the kitchen area conveniently opens to the adjacent dining pavilion just outside, set for outdoor dining within a bower of lovely trees and flowers, with a handy gas grill nearby. Just beyond this covered pavilion is a staircase to the private air-conditioned master bedroom pavilion, offering a king bed with a large, smooth boulder at its head, and a large ensuite bath and beautiful stone alfresco shower under the trees. A private wraparound patio with sea views is just outside. Boulder Crest's other two air-conditioned bedroom/bath suites are situated side by side in their own pavilion just above the pool area. Although completely air-conditioned, the bedrooms and Great Room are all completely screened to let cooling tradewinds in. The layout of this lovely villa provides maximum privacy for everyone. The large and well-equipped Great Room is perfect for gathering for movies, cooking, or a game of cards. The spacious tiled decks and stairways, artistically sited between boulders, tropical plantings and native stonework walls, make for appreciation of the wonderful landscaping with every step. Views of the ocean below and Tortola and islets beyond are inspiring. If you're seeking peace and complete privacy in an inspiring natural setting, Boulder Crest may be exactly the what you're looking for...very highly recommended. Rental Notes A 4-wheel drive vehicle is necessary for Boulder Crest. Nail Bay, where Boulder Crest is located, is currently in the process of paving the roads in this area, and passage in and out of Nail Bay is now much improved.
